The Admirals sunk Dunedin in  both games this weekend. Saturday going down to the wire with the Admirals coming back from a three goal deficit in the 3rd period to win it 5-4 in a shootout. Sillanpaa had a hat-trick for the Thunder but the Admirals responded with two goals from the Captain Daigle, goals also from Mjelleli, and Henderson. Sunday night was a very important game for the Admirals with three points and defense of the Toa Kauhanga Riri trophy on the line. The first two periods were closely fought but the Admirals swung full broadside and pounded in 5 goals in the 3rd period to convincingly end the game and take the full three points. This was also the Admirals first successful defense of the TKRT trophy.

Frazer Ellis is off to the Connecticut Oilers now, but he finished his tenure with the Admirals on a high with his first NZIHL hat-trick. Rattcliffe, Jackson, Henderson and Hart with two goals rounded out the Admirals scoring for the night.
